Get to know me...

Autistic, Indigenous, Wife, Mother of 5, CEO, Therapist, Consultant, Author, Trainer, Board Certified Cognitive Specialist, Addiction Specialist, and Neurodiversity Advocate.

I am a conscious, inclusive, Indigenous (Citizen Band Potawatomi), and autistic leader dedicated to enhancing the lives of others through collaborative efforts. My problem-solving nature has proven invaluable as a multiple-business owner and therapist. I am driven and goal-oriented, and I have a passion for learning that has led me to pursue various educational opportunities.

I hold an undergraduate degree in Human Services Counseling from East Central University in Ada, OK, and a dual Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy and Community Counseling from John Brown University in Siloam Springs, AR. Additionally, I have an MBA from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. My diverse work experience includes intensive in-home services, school-based, outpatient psychotherapy settings, and residential facilities. I serve individuals of all age groups and economic backgrounds and hold specialized certifications and licenses in substance use, addiction, play therapy, and cognitive issues. Currently, I am pursuing a Ph.D. in Change Leadership for Equity and Inclusion with an emphasis on Community Leadership at the University of Central Arkansas.

My dissertation research focuses on Indigenous Perspectives on Autism and the Path to Inclusive Societal Understanding Utilizing a Decolonizing and Indigenous Leadership Framework.

As the CEO and Founder of Allied Collaborative, my mission is to foster a positive neurodiverse culture through business consulting, training, counseling, and community engagement. I also own Kitchens Counseling Services, where I provide counseling and consulting services. While the primary focus is on Neurodiversity and neurodivergent populations, these practices address a wide range of issues.

In addition to my professional roles as CEO, therapist, trainer, author, and consultant, I am a married mother of five children, ages 10 to 24. My personal experience as a late-diagnosed autistic individual has enhanced my proficiency in behavioral pattern recognition. This skill has proven incredibly helpful in understanding and addressing various challenges. I have several children that are AuDHD, which enriches my advocacy for Neurodiversity, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Mental Health, and child welfare.

My book, If I Can Just Get Through This: A Therapist's Journey and Guidance Through Autistic Shutdown and Its Triggers, is available here https://books2read.com/IfICanJustGetThrough.
